Jackie Garlick, Clinical Assistant, Orthodontic Assistant & Sleep Apnea Assistant

My name is Jackie Garlick, I am very grateful to be afforded an opportunity to work as a clinical assistant with Dr. Samaha and our team of experts. Dr Samaha’s commitment to excellent patient care and the advanced educational development of each member of her team serves me well every day as my confidence and passion in my field grows with every opportunity.

I was born and raised in El Paso TX and am fluent in both English and Spanish. Growing up we lived in a poorer area of the city and healthcare and hygiene were not of high priority in many households. Not so in my home. I was raised with strong influences on both sides of my family. I was raised with a strong sense of family and strong values such as: making good grades in school, not getting in trouble with the teacher or neighbor, making sure to say thank you and please, saying my prayers, etc. I have one brother, Gabriel and we learned early that if we wanted any extras like a car or nice rims, we had to go get a part time job, so we’ve worked hard ever since we were 16 years old, putting our heart and soul into everything we do.

I married a wonderful man, Justin Garlick, who is in the US Navy and loves his job. He plans to make it a career; we are very supportive of each other’s career goals. We have a little dog named “Mamas” and she is a Miniature Schnauzer. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our friends and family. Justin and our families have been a strong influence in me continuing my education and choosing this wonderful field of dentistry.

While working with Dr Samaha and caring for our patients, I have come to see what a special role we have in the many lives we touch. It is amazingly fulfilling to be able to help so many people live healthier lives, and smile like never before!
