After many years as a Registered Nurse, I understood that all the body is connected. One cannot experience a problem with a part of the body without it affecting other parts of the body. How blessed we are that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Imagine my delight when I sought out Dr. Samaha for some dental treatment and discovered her vision for the health of the body, mind, and spirit. The minute I walked into her lovely office I knew I was in a place of healing. I could sense a peacefulness to my spirit and I immediately relaxed. I was intrigued to learn of the revolutionary changes in dentistry, specifically the more recent scientific discoveries of the oral-systemic link.

Building upon my nursing background, Dr. Samaha invited me to help with research and data collection for her teaching and research institute. I also act as the physician liaison for Port Warwick Dental Arts, helping to coordinate communications between patients and their physicians with regard to the mouth/body connection. I also spend my time helping to share the critical and even life-saving message of the role of dental health in total body health with the medical and lay community here in Hampton Roads.

I truly enjoy what I do for Dr. Samaha and am excited to be part of a team devoted to excellence, holistic health, and the highest level of integrity. This is an exciting time to be involved in dentistry, particularly with all the new research on the inflammatory response and its role in many diseases.

I am married with three children. I have a Master’s Degree from Christopher Newport University and a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Virginia Union School of Theology. I am an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and serve a church in Richmond. I volunteer for Dr. Samaha and am blessed to be part of such a great team. Come in and see for yourself!
